Saba Selects Carpathia Hosting for Compliant SaaS Solutions

Saba, a provider of people systems, has selected Carpathia Hosting as a strategic cloud infrastructure partner, supporting U.S., Canadian and EMEA operations.

The partnership will allow Saba (News - Alert) to meet the strict federal compliance requirements demanded by its public sectors and commercial customers.

“We’ve been very pleased with Carpathia’s understanding of our global compliance requirements and commitment to meeting the needs of our customers, many of whom are operating in a highly regulated environment,” said Ronno Lee, vice president of Saba Cloud, in a statement.

Lee said that it was strategic for the company to choose Carpathia as the company expanded the Saba Cloud globally.

Officials with Carpathia said that in the EU, Saba chose the company’s secure and compliant Amsterdam Data Center to store all data and systems for Saba’s EU SaaS (News - Alert) customers.

More recently, Saba announced the availability of in-country SaaS people systems solutions in Canada, hosting its data in Carpathia’s Toronto facility.

Company officials said that through Carpathia, Saba is uniquely positioned as a data custodian, serving Canadian customers where strict privacy laws, including the 1980 Privacy Act, dictate careful treatment of customer data.

The same holds true for Saba’s customers in the EU, where Safe Harbor compliance is a requirement. Carpathia expanded its data center footprint into the EU market for Saba Cloud deployments there.
