AT&T Signs Global Strategic Agreement with Omnicom

December 02, 2010

AT&T, a premier communications holding company, entered into a global strategic relationship with Omnicom, a global leader in advertising and marketing communications. The partnership also includes a new contract for its products and services worth at least $57 million.

The two companies, as part of this strategic relationship, are exploring the delivery and deployment of AT&T applications, mobility and cloud-based solutions on a global scale for Omnicom (News - Alert).

"This latest agreement with AT&T underscores our ongoing investment in maintaining a world-class communications structure that can keep our agencies seamlessly connected, collaborating, and delivering industry best performance on behalf of our clients," said John Wren, president and CEO of Omnicom Group (News - Alert), in a press release. "AT&T's comprehensive solutions can help us transform our business to the benefit of our clients globally. We're thrilled to extend our long-term relationship with AT&T (News - Alert) and look forward to further accelerating our global business with its solutions."

AT&T, as per the agreement, will work together with Omnicom to develop networking solutions that will connect Omnicom's offices around the world and provide opportunities for swift adoption of new technologies over time. It is intended by Omnicom that the solution will help to drive near-term savings with short-term projects, as well as support long-term transformational change within Omnicom's global business.

Specifically, to help accelerate the delivery of packaged applications across Omnicom's global network of operations, Omnicom will explore the use of AT&T's Managed Hosting and Application Services. Additional AT&T networking solutions under consideration by Omnicom include AT&T Telepresence Solution, Cloud Services and Unified Communications (News - Alert) to support Omnicom's ongoing mission to expand global collaboration while reducing its carbon footprint.

In related news, AT&T, to address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services, announced the opening of a new wireless retail store in Rutland.
