Kinaxis Enhances Brand Presence and Market Awareness in Japan

December 03, 2010

Kinaxis appointed Richard Lord as vice president of Asia-Pacific Japan, and Toshiya Kaneko as president and representative director of Kinaxis Japan. The company is a provider of RapidResponse, the on-demand supply chain management or SCM and sales and operations planning software service.

Richard Lord has served the enterprise software market in Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ), including a previous tenure at Kinaxis. He will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the Kinaxis APJ operations and ensuring alignment and integration of all sales, marketing, partner and product/services programs.

The new leadership is expected to establish a broader brand presence and greater market awareness, in Japan said company sources.

In a press release, Lord said, “Having already established a notable presence in Japan, we are committed to building upon our business momentum to capitalize on the very exciting market opportunity we see for the region.”

“We are fortunate to be supported by several strong partners, as well as backed by a global sales and marketing group. Together, we are aiming high with a goal to transform supply chains in Japan and beyond. With the Kinaxis RapidResponse product, we are doing it,” Lord added.

Kinaxis’s solution optimizes planning and decision making for large manufacturing companies with complex supply chains and volatile business environments.

RapidResponse is preferred by many companies as it has the capability to offer them a single interface for supporting supply chain management (SCM), sales and operations planning (S&OP) and purchasing besides sales and inventory (PSI) processes.

The global customers served by Kinaxis include companies like Casio, Nikon, Sanyo (News - Alert), Toshiba and Unicharm. The company provides its clients with measurable results. Kinaxis sources added that the company will be hosting a complimentary conference event on December 8th and 9th, 2010 at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.

The conference will provide all details regarding the company, product and business plans for the region. Attendees will get to know how existing customers of the company are using the RapidResponse solution both strategically and tactically to optimize their operations performance and customer satisfaction.

RapidResponse helps companies make better plans and also respond fast to changes in demand, supply and product. This year’s event will feature case study presentations by Nikon Digital Imaging, Unicharm and Qualcomm (News - Alert).
