Fiorano Cloud Integration Platform Selected by World's First Hotel School

January 20, 2011

A provider of enterprise middleware and peer-to-peer distributed systems Fiorano Software announced that Fiorano Cloud Integration platform has been successfully deployed by Swiss based Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL), the world's first hotel school.

Built on the Fiorano Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Fiorano Cloud Platform integrates applications across Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and In-House worlds.

With the IT infrastructure of the hotel school bulging over the years, EHL realized the pressing need for making asubstantial investment in a quality integration platform to automate business processes, increase transactional visibility and gain agility by developing capabilities to incorporate new business processes seamlessly without disrupting existing systems. In a press release, EHL officials noted that their search for a comprehensive integration platform ended with Fiorano.

“We found that developing and deploying new processes, as well as modifying and redeploying existing processes, was much faster with Fiorano in comparison with BizTalk and Mule open source. Fiorano also had a lower learning curve, decreasing our time to deployment significantly,” principal engineer of Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne, Ganasekharan Thoppe noted in a statement.

In September last year, Fiorano Software announced that its SOA Platform had been deployed by Fraikin, a logistics giant in Europe. Fraikin has used Fiorano to deploy an electronic communication platform and to manage inventory across its geographically distributed facilities. The implementation of the Fiorano Solution at Fraikin was done by JVL, a leading system integrator and software solutions provider in France. Through a statement, Fraikin said that after an evaluation of several platforms, Fraikin selected the Fiorano Middleware SOA Platform to deploy their electronic communication platform. Using Fiorano's unique event-driven architecture, Fraikin rapidly developed a series of event processes to exchange and process traffic fines, enabling them to quickly put in place a solution that was compliant with the new Government regulations and enabled accurate and error-free record management of Fraikin's extensive fleet of vehicles.
