Telax Hosted Call Center Launches Skype integration
Telax Hosted Call Center, a North America provider of hosted call center solutions, has launched Skype integration to allow the Telax Hosted Call Center platform users to route and manage incoming calls received from a Skype ID.
With the expansion of the ACD channel, the users will now have more social media management options with the 3.0 contact center solution, which already integrates with a number of digital media channels such as e-mail, chat, Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter.
“Contact centers are adopting new models for service delivery – companies are looking to connect with their customers through new channels. Telax is a leader in the social media integration space,” said Koray Parmaks, vice president of Marketing for Telax, in a press release.
All new and existing users of the call center software can immediately benefit from the release of Skype (News
- Alert) integration through Telax Hosted Call Center's cloud-based model. They don’t even need to incur any additional cost.
A major player in global communications, Skype has been used for making nearly 6.5 billion minutes of calls to landlines and cellphones, in the first half of 2010. Moreover, more than 88.4 billion minutes of Skype-to-Skype calls were also recorded.
“Given the popularity and response we've received from other social media integration and the sheer size of Skype, this was a logical next move as we strive to give our customers the competitive advantage in this changing contact center space,” said Parmaks.
Telax Hosted Call Center has been providing cloud-based business solutions to prominent public and private sector organizations since 1999. The company recently announced that Distributel Communications, an emerging leader in the Canadian Internet services market, will use its services to provide industry-leading customer support to its significant residential and business customer base throughout Canada. ThinktTel, Distributel's enterprise services division and a leader in SIP Trunking and other next-generation IP solutions, will also partner with Telax to provide joint solutions to enterprises looking to improve their customer service operations.
