Foundation Source Online Platform Connects Nonprofits with Private Foundations
Foundation Source, a provider of support services for private foundation,s announced the launch of Foundation Source (News - Alert) Access; a new online platform that brings together non-profits with private foundations.
It is expected that this will help non-profits raise money easily and cost-effectively. Access helps private foundations discover and fund a wide range of the latest and most urgent fundraising projects for support. It also serves as an innovative philanthropy network that enables nonprofit and foundation peers to share their experiences and exchange views on strategic insights learned in the process.
According to official sources the typical nonprofit spends between 20 and 25 cents of each dollar on fundraising, resulting in loss of time and resources diverting them from their core mission and purpose.
Also the private foundation community including 1000 clients of Foundation Source are in need of a simpler way to find and fund worthy charitable causes. Access will help nonprofits convey their funding needs directly to Foundation Source clients and it also enables foundations to get project information directly from nonprofits, explained Foundation Source officials.
In a statement, Andrew Bangser, President of Foundation Source said, “Foundation Source Access encourages nonprofits searching for new funding sources to look beyond the largest institutional foundations and extend their reach to the largely untapped market of small and medium-sized foundations run by individuals and families.”
It was also revealed that there are more than 80,000 private and family foundations which collectively donate an amount of $40 billion a year to charitable organizations, with many giving to new grantees each year. Nonprofits will benefit from an immediate, direct access to so many private foundations at once. They will also be able to control the information that foundations see while making funding decisions.
Foundation Source Access brings donors and grantees together with regards to education reform, disaster relief, tackling world hunger and the provision of clean water.
Tiffany Kuehner, vice president of the Naples, Florida-based nonprofit Hope for Haiti said, “Foundation Source Access is a creative, interactive tool that links funders with nonprofits working to make a difference, by matching new sources of support to projects in need and bringing them to life for potential donors through information, pictures, and interactive online dialogue.”
FunnelSource and the Pedowitz Group have engaged with Foundation Source for the provision of their products and combined services. FunnelSource is a dealer in sales force automation interfaces for cloud computing CRM systems and the Pedowitz Group is a demand generation agency.
