Sybase Connects its Replication Server to Sybase Aleri Streaming Platform
Sybase (News
- Alert) has announced that the company has connected its Sybase Replication Server to Sybase Aleri Streaming Platform.
Firms are already using Sybase Replication Server and Aleri CEP for real-time analysis of trade and risk exposure across various asset classes in the financial markets. Trade and position data is fragmented - stored in a variety of relational databases located in multiple geographies in many cases. Users can overcome this fragmentation and consolidate heterogeneous data in real-time by integrating Sybase Replication Server with the Aleri CEP engine.
Capital markets firms choose Sybase for its risk management, compliance and trading solutions that are specifically tailored to fit their needs from real-time risk management, algorithmic trading, market aggregation, smart order routing, real-time pricing, as well as market surveillance monitoring and analytics.
“Sybase’s leading financial solutions – used by each of the top 50 global banks and securities firms – include advanced data management and analytics that improve trading, risk management, compliance and market data management across the enterprise,” said Neil McGovern, director of marketing, Sybase. “We are committed to providing a broad analytics portfolio to meet the needs of our customers and this new capability has added to our already strong offerings in replication and CEP.”
Capital market firms can utilize Sybase’s new adapter to evaluate risk and exposure by customer, region, and within time interval and capture trades from multiple databases in real time and correlate them in the CEP engine. In other industries, if a customer has placed order above a certain dollar amount thereby triggering further validation checks, a company can continuously monitor product order flow and receive notification.
In October 2010, the company released the Sybase Mobile Sales for SAP CRM for BlackBerry (News
- Alert) smartphones -- a new “super app” that delivers an integrated application experience on BlackBerry smartphones. Sybase Mobile Sales for SAP CRM provides anywhere, anytime access to SAP Customer Relationship Management software from iPhone (News - Alert) and Windows Mobile smartphones and now with RIM BlackBerry. A company’s sales professionals will always have quick and reliable access to their CRM data.
