Call Center Industry Veteran Joins TelStar Hosted Services as Director of Business Development

The hosted call center technology provider TelStar Hosted Services, Inc. recently announced the appointment of M. G. (Manny) Funtall to take over the charge of the company’s sales team as director of Business Development.


The product offerings of TelStar Hosted Services Inc include diverse call center services, predictive dialer capabilities, and automated voice messaging. TelStar solutions are help companies acquire, service and retain customers. TelStar Hosted Services has come to be known for its affordable solutions that can be deployed quickly across a distributed workforce. The company boasts of a world-class, SAS70 Type II compliant, secure data center, and service-oriented, highly professional team. The services are delivered through Communication-as-a-Service ("CaaS") model via the cloud. This, according to the company, not only makes the services affordable, but also scalable, flexible, stable and reliable.

In a press release, TelStar Hosted Services’s senior VP Karen Banta said that the company is going to benefit from Funtall’s wealth of experiences relating to the selling of on-premise and hosted call center solutions in fast-paced, rapidly growing markets.

“We are delighted that Manny brings additional senior sales expertise to our already strong leadership team,” said James P. Dunn, CEO of TelStar.

Funtall, who began his career as an application developer and IT manager has a long history of successful sales efforts in the technology area. He later switched to sales and sales management, where he also excelled.

Funtall worked for several contact center software suppliers including eShare Technologies (formerly Melita (News - Alert)), Stratasoft, and Noble Systems. He also worked as an independent sales consultant providing sales and marketing expertise to evolving software companies at the behest of several venture firms.

Last month, TelStar Hosted Services announced the launch of a new Lead Referral Program for channel partner development. The program was designed to compensate individuals and businesses, such as resellers, system integrators, consultants, business associations and other IT professionals, by paying referral fees for sales of TelStar Hosted Services’ hosted contact center services, interactive voice response (IVR) voice messaging services, or a combination of these.
