Q4 Appliance Release of VMTurbo Delivers Improved Quality of Service and Policy Control for Cloud-Based Apps
VMTurbo, provider of intelligent workload management software, announced that it has introduced new capabilities in its appliance release for the fourth quarter. By extending the capabilities of the latest version of its appliance, VMTurbo has made it possible for enterprise clients and cloud service providers to ensure compliance with application quality of service (QoS) in addition to effectively improving policy control for shared infrastructures which are subject to constant upgrades and change.
In a release, N. Louis Shipley, President and CEO of VMTurbo, said, "Our new release is a major step forward for enterprises and cloud service providers looking to guarantee application performance for their business units and customers. As more workloads get virtualized, guaranteeing application performance and guaranteeing application quality of service becomes critical."
To improve the management of virtualized workloads across large environments, infrastructure operators using the latest version will now be able to easily categorize and prioritize their applications to meet QoS standards for workloads within a mission critical framework. Additionally, the newly introduced business dashboards will deliver increased transparency over the complete IT stack, and deliver recommendations and resolutions for different issues that tamper with application performance across shared infrastructure.
Furthermore, the VMTurbo release has been enabled for supporting hosting and cloud providers functioning in shared, multi-tenant environments. These capabilities include improved workload placement policies which can be customized to help address various service level agreements, security policies and compliance based regulations. The new release also offers more flexibility for role management and permissions which make it easy to allocate dedicated scope to a specific user account while the re-branding capability will help cloud service providers private-label VMTurbo within their IT offering in a clear and transparent manner.
