DSCI Announces Deployment of Approximately 20,000 Hosted Seats from BroadWorks

The DSCI Corporation (News - Alert), provider of unified communications solutions for business, announced that it has gone ahead with deploying close to 20,000 BroadWorks supported hosted seats. The iPBX Hosted Communications Service from DSCI which is a fully featured hosted communications service is based on the BroadWorks voice application server which is provided by BroadSoft (News - Alert) Inc., provider of residential and business Voice over IP (VoIP) applications. The BroadWorks platform has been designed to deliver multiple benefits to customers of DSCI which include unified communications services comprising of business and consumer based services such as video, voice and hosted call center, conferencing services as well as messaging and mobility services.


In a release, Rick Girardin, DSCI’s VP of Network Engineering, said, “We selected the BroadWorks platform for iPBX because it offers a comprehensive set of features and add-on applications to meet our needs and those of our customers. In addition, BroadWorks continues to grow and evolve along with DSCI’s vision for the future.”

Leveraging the BroadWorks platform, DSCI will be able to better mange its voice and unified communications services enabling it to deliver its customers with an integrated offering in addition to being able to provide a suite of unified communications services such as messaging and presence, web collaboration, videoconferencing and mobile device integration all from a single system. Furthermore, the BroadWorks platform has been developed as a hosted solution which can help in brining down capital expenses investment for DSCI and helps in reducing the solution cost as it provides customers with an intuitive web interface which allows them to make changes that suite their requirements.

Sean M. Dandley, president and CEO of DSCI, said, “DSCI has witnessed tremendous traction for our iPBX Hosted Communications Service, as iPBX station installations have increased 42 percent since 2009. The current year is on track to significantly outperform 2010 numbers with total iPBX bookings in Q1 at 170 percent of goal. As we look ahead, our focus is expanding beyond just IP telephony. We are working toward offering fully-integrated unified communications solutions to our customers. We are confident that BroadSoft and the BroadWorks platform will help us reach that goal.”
