Superior Staff Resources CEO Honored With New York Women's Agenda 'Galaxy Award'
Superior Staff Resources, a provider of workforce and business solutions for industry verticals like call center outsourcing, announced that CEO and President, Lynne Marie Finn, was named a Galaxy Award recipient by the New York Women's Agenda (NYWA).
The award was announced at the STAR (News - Alert) Breakfast held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Manhattan, NY.
The award recipients are nominated by NYWA member organizations. The Galaxy Award recognizes individuals for their leadership and commitment to improving the lives of women in New York City, said a press release from the company.
Founded in 1992, NYWA is a coalition of 100 women's professional and advocacy organizations dedicated to support the diversity and interests of New York women through collaboration, advocacy and education.
"It was a wonderful honor to be recognized by the New York Women's Agenda with the Galaxy Award, in the company of so many accomplished women," said Finn.
Finn was nominated for the award by the Women's President Educational Organization (WPEO), where she serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. The WPEO is the regional partner organization to the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WPEO provides women-owned and operated companies with national WBE certification.
Winners of this year’s award include legendary tennis star and feminist Billie Jean King, who was recognized with the Elinor Guggenheimer Lifetime Achievement Award.
Superior Staff Resources delivers strategic workforce solutions and outsourced programs, including managed services programs, vendor management systems, staff augmentation, and business process outsourcing.
The company is a WBENC-certified, women-owned business enterprise with offices located throughout the United States and Canada.
Call center outsourcing industry looks very promising amidst global slowdown. Recently TMCnet reported that more call center jobs are coming back onshore. The industry is, in fact, witnessing a reverse trend.
“While once we saw call center jobs being shipped offshore by American companies in record numbers, we're now starting to see the reverse: foreign call center companies opening call center facilities in the US, hiring Americans,” the report said.
