Broadsoft Chosen by CSI Technology Outfitters for Hosted Communication Services
BroadSoft (News - Alert), Inc. recently announced that its BroadWorks voice application platform has been chosen by CSI (News - Alert) Technology Outfitters as the base for their hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) offering to the K-12 education market.
In a release, Keone Trask, senior vice president of Cloud Services at CSI Technology Outfitters said, “Transitioning from legacy PBX (News - Alert) systems to hosted UC services offers a unique opportunity for K-12 schools to achieve significant cost savings while benefiting from new, compelling features that improve communications at both the school and district level. Across the nation, municipalities face shrinking budgets and the need to do more with less; we believe shifting voice to the cloud removes the burden of managing legacy systems so resources can be shifted to more strategic initiatives.”
The BroadWorks platform provides a holistic set of unified communications (UC) services which have video, voice as well as conferencing, messaging and mobility. This platform can be scaled to size, is extremely reliable and has comprehensive features. Along with this CSI will now be able to benefit from PacketSmart, BroadSoft's network assessment and monitoring service, that is cloud-based and which will allows CSI to provide the best experience for its K-12 customers.
With PacketSmart, CSI can completely do away with expensive site visits to look into and rectify customer problems. All of this can be handled remotely and then a decision can be taken on whether a truck should be dispatched or not.
Leslie Ferry, vice president of Marketing at BroadSoft said, “CSI is an established technology leader and innovator in the education space, and we are excited it will further leverage BroadWorks capabilities for the K-12 segment. Education is one of the verticals rapidly adopting hosted UC services and reaping the benefits including cost savings and dynamic capabilities of a cloud-based voice solution. CSI has found an innovative approach to meeting the needs of this market.”
