Elixir's Tango SaaS Correspondence Applications Streamline Communications for Healthcare Providers

April 04, 2014

Elixir unveiled its Tango SaaS (News - Alert) offerings for Health Insurance, which is expected to help healthcare providers leverage subscription-based portals to simplify the creation, management, and delivery of business communications.

Insurers can now use Tango to communicate with members when they shop and compare coverage and enroll in plans. It can be used for conveying details about various available plans also. Tango will deliver these communications to member portals both in digital as well as print formats along with personalized content.

As the subscription costs and usage are aligned, insurers can select hosting according to the number of documents and pay for actual use only. The system is also configured for automation and the integrated workflow and business rules will specify the activities or processes that can initiate the service. It can match templates as per content, then route for approval and finally release for delivery.

All these capabilities significantly reduce the burden on IT, business teams can manage the process using configurable portals. These will prompt for user interaction when required and users will get visibility into the process and can also manage activities with permission.

As the Tango SaaS correspondence applications are hosted in a secure, PCI (News - Alert) and HIPPA-compliant environment in a single-tenant, private cloud model, IT security is ensured. The solution combines optimum IT security and control with the operational ease of cloud computing, said officials.

The managed services delivered by Elixir are an added advantage. This has reduced the time-to-market for the delivery of materials. Tango’s capabilities and content automation have helped reduce manual processes. Also, business users can change their content including the language, data, and business rules and see the effects in real-time.

Tango’s integrated workflow system allows the testing of associated business rules, content, and data validation which can also be approved. Updates can be automated across all versions and the system also assembles and formats content and data. This helps generate compliant document versions for production. These capabilities are most beneficial in creating automated and custom materials for Medicare and Medicaid plans besides other healthcare offerings.
