HostGator, a provider of shared, reseller, and dedicated Web hosting services has reportedly signed a partnership agreement with iContact, a provider of e-mail marketing services to small and medium-sized business, for using iContact for all of its e-mail marketing needs and to offer iContact services to all its customers.

 

"The Partnership between iContact and HostGator will provide a wealth of services for both sets of customers," said Ryan Allis, CEO at iContact Corp. in a statement. "Both HostGator and iContact provide reliable and essential services to their customers. This, combined with our SMB focus, means there is definitely synergy between the two companies."

 

Currently serving more than 50,000 customers, iContact has been helping its customers for easy creation of email newsletters, surveys, and autoresponders. IContact is designed for the SMB market and iContact Enterprise is designed for mid-sized to large organizations.

 

This partnership was decided based on the input from multiple customers, said, Chad Bean, chief marketing officer at HostGator.

 

"Our clients are constantly looking to reach their customers without having to configure software or scripts, or worrying about managing their own mailing list,” Bean said. “With iContact, they are able to focus on building their subscriber lists, and providing valuable content to those subscribers.”

 

HostGator has been offering hosting services for over 2.2 million Web sites and supports more than 35,000 resellers worldwide with around-the-clock technical support and Web hosting tools including free billing software for resellers and access to over 4,500 free web templates. Back in August 2008, the company was recognized by Inc. Magazine as the 21st fastest growing private company in America.

 

IContact and HostGator are both top 100 ranks on 2008's Inc. 500 list. Together, both the companies are said to be serving over 300,000 Customers with Web hosting and e-mail marketing services.
