NTT America Extends North American Presence to Denver

October 26, 2009
NTT America, a U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, has extended its North American presence to Denver, Colorado with the launch of a point of presence for Arcstar global network services.

Company officials said that the new Arcstar PoP enables NTT America (News - Alert) to provide multi-national corporations in region with high-capacity, efficient networks to support their global operations, particularly to the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The new capability, the company officials said, also enhances NTT America’s ability to serve overseas companies investing in Colorado and the surrounding region.
Parent company NTT Communications (News - Alert) is a major player in global networking, providing over 100,000 MPLS ports around the world.

According to the company officials, Denver represents an economic, communications and transportation hub between the West Coast and the Mid-West, and is home to a number of high-tech industries including software development, data centers and call centers.

“NTT America is committed to extending our North American reach and Denver is a key part of that strategy,” said Stephen Bloom, vice president of business development for NTT America, in a statement.

Bloom said that based upon demand from the customers in the US and around the World, the company identified Denver as a significant step in its US expansion, and is very pleased to be able to support the global requirements of companies who have invested in the region.

NTT America is North America's natural gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, with strong capabilities in the U.S. market.

In August, NTT America had announced the addition of a second data center in the Silicon Valley Area of California. This addition expands NTT America’s premium data center space in Silicon Valley by 15,000 square feet.

As with NTT America’s other premier data centers, the new site is designed for enterprise-class customers who are seeking state of the art facilities for their IT infrastructure.
The new data center offers the flexibility of integrating managed services and colocation services to meet the specific requirements of their solution.
