Skytide Announces Next Generation Reporting and Analytics Solution
Looking to support the innovative business models coming from CDN providers and resellers, Skytide has introduced the next generation of its Insight for Content Delivery Networks reporting and analytics application.
Content Delivery Networks often have to struggle with scarce internal resources to build an expensive reporting tool. The managed, on-premise reporting and analytics solution from Skytide provides the client with a deeper understanding of their CDN operations. The company also provides an affiliate program that transforms the clients’ reporting solution from a sunk cost into a revenue generator.
The new Skytide upgrade includes features such as the ability to measure traffic distribution by any desired attribute; and the ability for the content delivery networks and resellers to stay on top of rapidly changing business models by providing business partners with their very own reporting portals. Skytide’s existing comprehensive CDN reporting & analytics capabilities includes more than 144 distinct reports.
“Seismic changes are afoot in the content delivery arena, with telcos, ISPs and cable companies gearing up to challenge established CDNs for a share of the burgeoning online video market,” said Skytide president and CEO, Michael O’Donnell. “Those entering the space will need a reporting & analytics solution that can accommodate evolving business models and handle the massive amounts of data that CDNs generate”
With this new update, Skytide believes that the company is well positioned to help the new entrants in the CDN space to quickly deploy a proven, highly scalable reporting and analytics solution. The players in the CDN space can now forecast traffic and provision capacity, isolate and correct service quality issues, ensure accurate billing, and justify pricing.
In June 2008, Skytide was selected by TV Worldwide (News - Alert) to deliver the viewership metrics for its official Webcast of the 35th Annual Daytime Creative Arts and Entertainment Emmy Awards. Skytide was chosen for its analytical application of online media to help broadcast the awards show, which will be featured on the TV Mainstream Internet TV channel at tvmainstream.com.
