AES specializes in trading and risk solutions for organizations trading oil and related products. The SaaS (News - Alert) delivery model allows user organizations to eliminate the need for additional software and hardware.

AES CEO Steve Hughes expressed his satisfaction over the report’s findings. According to Hughes (News - Alert), the positioning appropriately marks the company’s most successful year yet.

“We are delighted to be recognized in this way by Gartner and view our positioning as confirmation of our ability to consistently deliver perfect-fit solutions in record time to customers of all sizes across different specialisms,” Hughes said.

“This year we are strengthening that capability still further with capabilities in the mid-office area and in dedicated solutions for the bunkering, jet fuel and other markets, building on the solid foundation of our core AspectDSC and AspectETRM offerings,” he added.

Aspect Enterprise Solutions has a proven track record in providing enterprise class market information, trade and decision support tools for energy, metals and commodities professionals. The tools offered by the company include real time position keeping, risk management, market prices and intelligence to users virtually anywhere, anytime. The Magic Quadrant is a graphical representation of a marketplace in which various vendors are positioned according to the criteria specified by Gartner. These criteria include ability to execute, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness and track record, market execution and customer experience and operations; and completeness of vision. Intended solely as a research tool, the Magic Quadrant does not endorse any vendor.
