SAS Teams up with Teradata to Optimize its Marketing Automation

Teradata has teamed up with SAS to optimize SAS (News - Alert) Marketing Automation for Teradata. This will help the customers to enhance their marketing campaigns and gain competitive edge over the competitors, the companies believe.


With the help of SAS Marketing Automation, marketers can plan, test and execute marketing campaigns of any size or level of complexity. Marketers can now create and deliver the right campaign at the right time with SAS' capabilities for campaign management, analytics, data integration and business intelligence.

Both the companies have joined hands to provide a powerful business intelligence environment consisting of integrated customer analytics, data integration and campaign management. They can also deploy and utilize the solution faster and more effectively with specialized joint deployment teams dedicated to optimization of SAS Marketing Automation on Teradata (News - Alert). SAS and Teradata Business Insight Advantage Program is a foundational infrastructure for SAS Marketing Automation.

"Initial benchmarking of SAS Marketing Automation on Teradata validated that the application was well-designed to take full advantage of both the parallelism and architecture of the Teradata platform," said Scott Gnau, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Teradata. "With standard database tuning practices we were able to effectively optimize performance for large-scale multi-user marketing campaigns and scale easily from a customer scenario of 100 million records to 300 million."

When SAS functions, procedures, and solutions leverage Teradata scalability and parallelism, SAS and Teradata customers continue to realize significant value. They can now meet ever-changing marketing needs by deploying SAS Marketing Automation quickly and efficiently on Teradata's predictive linear platform. In October 2009, Teradata announced that Bulgaria-based mobile operator Mobiltel has selected the Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse platform for its enterprise data warehouse. With the implementation, completed in early August 2009, Mobiltel expects to better understand customers and translate that understanding into better customer relationship management, product development and business growth.
