CDC Software Projects Double Digit Growth in Application Sales

June 15, 2010
CDC Software Corporation, a hybrid enterprise software provider of on-premise and cloud deployments, declared that based on the initial financial projections and estimates, the company is anticipating second quarter 2010 application sales to be in the range of around $10.2 million to $10.9 million.

The application sales, made up of license income and new total contract value (New Total Contract Value (NTCV), is the contract dollar amount for the length of the contracts for all new SaaS (News - Alert) contracts held. The new SaaS contract secured counts rental and renewal received by the end of the quarter for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales secured in the second quarter of 2010.

This amount is around a 33 to 42 percent increase as measured to $7.7 million in the second quarter of 2009, main because of increased new logo sales for its on-premise solutions, and stretched cloud sales as a result of acquisitions, investments and organic growth.

The application sales from CDC Software (News - Alert) are supported by its three-point cloud strategy. The strategy includes acquisitions of Strategic Cloud Investment Program (SCIPP), SaaS companies and the ultimate launch of their internally developed SaaS solutions.

CDC Software has gotten five SaaS companies since the fourth quarter of 2009. All of the earnings of these companies are accretive. CDC Software plans more acquisitions by the end of 2010. The company, under SCIPP, intends to make alternative investments in, and from strategic reselling partnerships with, companies that provide cloud-based or point solutions complementing their enterprise solutions collection.

CDC Software has spent on e-BizNET and MarketBright since the inception of SCIPP in the second quarter of 2010. e-BizNET is a provider of SaaS supply chain execution solutions while MarketBright is a provider of SaaS marketing automation solutions.

CDC Software also said that its CDC Respond complaint management solutions will be their first cloud application created with the Windows Azure platform.

In April, CDC Software signed a reciprocal original equipment manufacturer agreement with Servicepower Business Solutions, a provider of outsourced service and field management solutions, to sell their solutions.
