Storage Fusion to Deliver Storage Resource Analysis SaaS Solution for Arrow ECS
As the first distributor in U.K. which offers a Software-as-a-Service solution for storage analytics, Arrow ECS has signed a U.K. agreement with Storage Fusion for delivering its Storage Resource Analysis platform. The SRA platform is an efficient, service-based solution which allows customers in better managing their storage usage and needs.
In a release, Steve Pearce, the MD for Arrow ECS in the U.K. said, "We believe that SRA is a revolution in the way customers can analyze and evaluate their storage estate. IT (information technology) managers are constrained to make existing resources work harder against a rising tide of expanding volumes of business-critical data, resource-hungry applications, and higher user expectations. An efficient data centre is central to successful IT delivery, and the launch of the SRA tool for the first time in the channel reflects our strategy of moving toward consolidated, virtualized and data-centric solutions for our resellers and their customers."
SRA is charged on a pay-as-you-go basis and it delivers quick and comprehensive analyses of storage inefficiencies and opportunities for reducing cost and improving data centre capabilities. No software installation is required, since SRA is a SaaS (News - Alert) offering, and the resulting analysis can be accessed from a secure remote portal. The service facilitates storage managers and administrators in running in-depth analyses of their storage in one day, helping them in improving their overall storage management.
In a release, Graham Wood, the MD for Storage Fusion said, "Storage Fusion developed SRA to provide a simple SaaS solution offering a deep analysis of an organization’s use of storage. As a testament to how effective our product is, companies like BGC Partners are using our SRA across their storage estate to improve their SRM software. Our portal-based solution means that companies can effectively 'try before they buy' and, in one day, gain a much greater understanding of their storage environment, helping them to understand how to better manage storage or see where money can be saved. Working with a distributor is the ideal way to take this product to the market, and Arrow ECS was the only one we wanted to work with as it is the clear leader in its space."
