BioClinica's Trident IWR Revolutionizes IVR/IWR

October 19, 2010

BioClinica announced the launch of Trident IWR. The launch took place at the 2010 Society for Clinical Data Management Annual Conference. Trident IWR is a new IVR/IWR also known as interactive voice response/interactive Web response platform, which provides a unique interface to help clinical operations personnel.

The clinical operations personnel will be able to directly set up, monitor, and maintain randomization and supplies for their clinical trials with the interface. This can be done without the need of programming and in a faster and less costly manner. BioClinica, Inc., is a top provider of clinical trial management services.

In a press release, Mark Weinstein, CEO of BioClinica, said, "We believe that Trident will fundamentally change the IVR/IWR market. It provides the pharmaceutical industry with the technological innovation to drive the efficiencies their business requires."

According to Weinstein, as compared to previous alternatives, customers are able to build complex trials in a quicker and less costly manner with Trident. While the previous alternatives required the development of custom programming for each new clinical trial, this is not true in the case of Trident. Sponsors will be able to speed their research and development processes with greater control than ever before by standardizing their IVR/IWR platform with BioClinica, concluded Weinstein.

World-class IVR phone support is provided by Trident through its simplified configuration process. A web-based system, Trident is also fully synchronized with BioClinica Optimizer. Trident IWR can be configured by the study designs stimulated in Optimizer. This will enable Trident IWR to match the optimal scenario identified using Optimizer in a precise manner.

The world’s first parameter-driven IWR for a ‘top five’ global pharmaceutical company was designed by Tourtellotte Solutions. The company has been acquired by BioClinica in September 2009. The same team is responsible for the design of Trident. More than 150 active clinical trials of the software are currently underway. Since its inception, the software has been used in more than 300 trials.

BioClinica, Inc., is a top provider of integrated, technology-enhanced clinical trial management services around the world. Pharmaceutical and medical device innovation is supported by the company. The company has conducted more than 2,000 successful trials in the past 20 years.
