San Jose's Family-Owned Engineering Firm Launches New Website

November 03, 2010

San Jose, California-based cable and harness assembly firm, DC Electronics announced the launch of a new website.

In a press release, the company said that this media rich website has been designed to give clients a detailed look at the systems and process of this family-owned company.

Founded in 1979 by former Hughes (News - Alert) Aircraft executive, David Cianciulli, Sr., DC Electronics is currently run by David Cianciulli, Jr. The company takes pride in its reputation for being innovative and consistent in providing high quality top-level service for demanding customers.

“Our goal is to be as transparent as possible. We are very proud of our Lean Kaizen and Six Sigma systems and we wanted to show the public what we've got,” company president, Dave Cianciulli said in a statement.

In recent years, DC Electronics underwent a modernization process through the adoption of an aggressive program to apply high level manufacturing systems to its San Jose manufacturing facility. The company that compares its processes with those of Toyota or Boeing (News - Alert) said that all its production lines are AS9100B registered and UL/CSA safety approved.

In addition, the company invested in advanced IT and data management systems to ensure real time quality and on-time delivery tracking.

“We are a relatively small company but our process is not much different than Boeing or Toyota. We want the Web site to give people on the outside a very clear view into who we are and how we do things here at DCE,” Ruben Macias, vice president of operations said in the statement.

DC Electronics caters to diverse industries that include aerospace, agriculture, construction, industrial manufacturing, medical, military, and nuclear, semiconductor, and telecom, transportation, underwater and photovoltaic.

DC Electronics said that the company always emphasized on developing the ability to work in close partnership with its customers. Sales’ vice president, Bryan McCreedy sees the new website as a tool for staying connected. “It's really about delivering relevant information. We're using video, social networking tools and web-based data management systems to keep a cutting-edge connection with our customers,” McCreedy commented.

In march this year, DC Electronics earned International Standard ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quality management system. According to the company, this achievement was a direct result of the entire organization working together in effectively developing and maintaining the quality management system in order to be certified.
