Oco's Analytic Application Chosen by Apex Systems to Build Next-Generation BI Architecture

November 03, 2010

In a bid to deliver better workforce solutions to the customers, IT staffing and workforce solutions firm Apex Systems selected Oco SaaS (News - Alert) BI applications integrated with SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand.

It should be noted that Apex Systems is on its way to implement its next-generation BI architecture.

Apex (News - Alert) Systems has good operational reporting to help us track how we've performed. But we want to go from good to great, and that requires advanced analytic applications that give users the ability to drill into the data to find new ways for us to deliver better workforce solutions to our customers,” Rob Waddell, SVP and CIO of Apex Systems noted in a statement.

In IT staffing business, it is important to act fast and be precise in matching candidates to the jobs. Oco's analytic applications are expected to provide Apex with the necessary insight for doing this job more competitively. Fast implementation and compatibility with best of breed BI reporting tools were two important factors that encouraged Apex to partner with Oco.

Apex Systems' new BI solution will be based on Oco's patented on-demand data integration, data warehousing and analytics application Software-as-a-Service (SaaS BI).

Oco integrates Apex Systems data from multiple transactional systems, including a SaaS-based applicant tracking system, a customer relationship management (CRM) system and their ERP application. Information is presented to users via rich, interactive, web-based Oco dashboards. Ad-hoc reporting is enabled via integration between Oco and SAP (News - Alert) BusinessObjects BI OnDemand.

“Agility is important to Apex. We move fast and constantly seek competitive advantage. We felt that Oco was the right fit for us to support our next phase of growth, Waddell added in the statement.

A few months back, TMCnet reported that Oco launched a new corporate blog to host discussions and provide commentary and insights on the rapidly changing SaaS BI marketplace. The blog was designed to help the market understand the variety of business intelligence and analytics products available to them and why leading organizations are choosing SaaS BI for their reporting needs.
