Eliassen Group Acquires Staffing and Data Management Consulting Firm
Wakefield, Mass.-based Eliassen Group, a technology staffing and clinical data management consulting firm, announced the acquisition of the IT staffing division of Dextrys, a provider of product engineering and application services outsourcing.
Eliassen Group provides IT and software firms on a contract, contract-to-hire and direct-hire basis across a range of industries, including healthcare, biopharmaceutical, financial services, government, education, manufacturing and software development.
The acquisition adds to Eliassen Group’s record growth over the last several years, according to Eliassen officials, and enables the company to “continue to build on its experience and expertise in several hot IT industries, including healthcare and insurance.”
In a statement, Mike McBrierty, chief operating officer of the Tech Staffing division of Eliassen Group, said, “We’ve been able to grow our business so successfully by effectively mapping the appropriate technical expertise not only to our clients’ specific projects, but also within a number of vertical spaces. The addition of Dextrys further strengthens our position as we continue to see growing demand from clients.”
Eliassen has also established specialized practice areas in fast-growing technology sectors including Agile (News

Earlier this month, TMC (News - Alert) reported that Eliassen Group and Agile Journal hosted a breakfast seminar and panel discussion focusing on the organizational impact of the Agile development methodology. During the event, the panelists not only covered "What is Agile?" and "Where is the ROI?" but also highlighted the benefits of Agile methods beyond technology departments -- and discussed how Agile can impact the entire organization.
This was Eliassen Group's third Agile-focused seminar in the past year, and the session drew participants within IT and software development organizations.
