RainedOut Recognized with 2011 Soccer Product of the Year Award
RainedOut, a provider of event and group communication services, has been honored with the 2011 Soccer Product of the Year Award for Best Web Application.
Hosted by TopDrawerSoccer.com, the 2011 SPY Awards recognized all the best products and services that make up the soccer scene. During the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America annual convention in Baltimore recently, RainedOut was announced the winner. RainedOut is a free text message alerting service used by soccer clubs and leagues across America.
"It is an honor to be recognized as a soccer product of the year," said Ara Bagdasarian, CEO of Omnilert, in a press release. "We are excited about 2011 and the introduction of our sponsor-based fundraising model, so leagues not only have the best communication system, but they can also raise funds with every message sent."

RainedOut is used to cancel events, give directions, recruit volunteers, send reminders and much more. Through one simple interface, RainedOut is capable of broadcasting alerts to subscribers' mobile phones via SMS text message and e-mail accounts and to the organizations' own Web pages, RainedOut page, Facebook (News - Alert) page, and Twitter account.
In related news, Omnilert, maker of RainedOut, recently announced the National Soccer Coaches Association of America selected its FREE+ RainedOut alert service to be the official messaging provider for NSCAA and its 30,000 members.
