Avtex Expands Contact Center and UC Applications Portfolio
Avtex, a provider of integrated, interactive technology solutions, announced an addition to its Contact Center optimization portfolio and the launch of new Communications Enabled Business Process (CEBP) applications for Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC).
The products were announced at the Enterprise Connect conference in Orlando.
The development of the new products was led by the newly formed Avtex (News - Alert) Innovation Team. In response to customer demand, the team is focused on creating solutions and launching products that provide organizations with faster, more efficient ways to communicate and collaborate, company officials said.
“As the needs of our customers evolve, we adapt by developing new products so that we can offer high-value software and online solutions that optimize the entire customer experience,” said Bob Denman (News - Alert), president of Avtex, in a statement.

Avtex Interaction Portal for Contact Centers is anew software application for the contact center and the latest addition to its existing collection of Contact Center optimization tools. It provides a single interface solution that simplifies agent access to critical enterprise data, people and documents.
The company also offers Communications-Enabled Business Process (CEBP) for Microsoft (News
- Alert) UC on the Lync platform. As a Microsoft Gold Certified UC and Voice Partner, Avtex is specialized in CEBP deployment and the integration of VoIP, instant messaging, presence, conferencing and other UC capabilities.
Avtex TimeSweeper for Professional Services simplifies time tracking and billing for service professionals in industries such as legal, marketing, management consulting and other billable professions by providing an accurate and complete view of all client communication activities.
Presence Integration Manager for Healthcare, which integrates Vocera (News - Alert) hands-free communication device, extends the capabilities of Microsoft UC to Vocera users in a healthcare environment. It enables Vocera users to leverage the benefits of UC including instant messaging, speech commands and other integrated communication capabilities.

Earlier in February, Avex announced Avtex xRM, a newly designed Microsoft Dynamics CRM application customized for commercial real estate. The company also announced its sponsorship of the national Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 launch event series held recently.
