Shred-It Partners with Sky Technologies to Roll Out CRM-Service

Shred-it, which offers secure destruction of electronic documents, has partnered with Sky Technologies, a provider of enterprise mobility solutions, to roll out a Mobile Enterprise CRM-Service Solution.

Shred-it has joined hands with Sky Technologies to develop a mobile solution that can improve the efficiency of their customer service reps (CSRs). With the SAP (News - Alert) CRM module, Shred-it can enable CSRs to issue invoices to their customers onsite, capture signatures, record proof of service and update the corporate call center in real-time, company officials said.Sky Technologies’ SkyMobile platform on Windows Mobile handheld devices allowed Shred-it to offer Line of Custody Tracking. The Line of Custody Tracking enabled Shred-it to provide their customers with electronic evidence of tracking of materials from pick-up to destruction.SkyMobile offers the flexibility of Dynamic Routing whereby the customer service center can add or change service orders while the truck is in route. With real-time updates, the SkyMobile platform provides CSR (News - Alert) Tracking. This assists CSRs in providing predictability of on-time service, notification of late arrival, or confirmation of on-time service.Shred-it got a mobile enterprise application platform with the capability to scale across thousands of devices while offering strict security and back-end protection. Shred-it offers a tailored document destruction service to customers which need the company to ensure that the client, employee and confidential business information is kept secure, company officials said.

A secured CRM service was essential for Shred-it because it aims to provide the most secure and efficient confidential information destruction service in the industry through their strict chain-of-custody processes, reliable on-time service and a global network of local service centers.

Recently, Shred-it announced that it sold its document storage business in the U.S. to Recall, a provider of document storage, secure document destruction, digital solutions and data protection.
