DYONYX Reports Strong Fourth Quarter and Announces Corporate Expansion
DYONYX, a provider of information technology outsourcing, managed and consulting services, has announced strong 4Q 2010 result.
The company added several clients in segments such as commercial real estate, utility, energy and oil and gas sectors. The value of booked contracts is $16 million.
DYONYX was recently awarded a one-year contract to offer complete outsourced managed services for a Londo- based customer, which has operations throughout the United States.
The company invested heavily and positioned itself to take full advantage of the markets as they recover from slowdown. It expanded its sales and marketing team adding six technical sales professionals. The company promoted Brett Zagone to vice president of Sales and Marketing.
One of the most exciting areas of expansion is within the company's Professional Services Division, which is headed by company vice president and NERC (News - Alert) CIP expert, Ron Blume, who is overseeing a number of new compliance-related projects within the electric utility, nuclear, energy and railway transportation sectors.
The other major achievement for the company was the significant expansion of their managed service offering. The managed services include data centers integrated through an MPLS network and virtual cloud infrastructure, its Network Operations Command Center and its ITIL aligned 24/7 service desk. With the expansion, the company is able to deliver scalable and access to virtual and physical computing resources.
“Our managed services model has always provided our customers the ability to reduce their IT spend while increasing reliability and security, but these investments in our virtual computing platform and service desk operations brings further economy of scale allowing even greater cost savings and heightened availability,” said Chuck Orrico, president, DYONYX, in a statement.
In November 2009, DYONYX announced it selected Data Foundry to implement a robust disaster recovery initiative. Data Foundry will offer high availability data center services to support DYONYX's expansion plans for the Texas market.
