Omnilert Launches Emergency Notifications Solutions through U.S. Communities Contract
Omnilert, a provider of e2Campus and Amerilert unified emergency notification systems (ENS), launched their solutions through U.S. Communities Contract.
The ENS solutions are listed under Omnilert on the GTSI Vendor Partner List. GSTI is a main contractor of the U.S. Communities Contract for IT Solutions and Services.
The U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance is designed to be a procurement cooperative resource for counties, cities, school districts (K-12), higher education, nonprofits, and publicly funded healthcare organizations.
“The U.S. Communities contract is pre-competed, so public agencies and institutions can shorten the procurement process by foregoing the traditional RFP requirement. Among other advantages, this will help you meet implementation timeframes associated with stimulus funding,” said Ara Bagdasarian, president of Omnilert, in a statement.
The City of Charlottesville, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and University of Maryland, Baltimore already bought Omnilert's unified emergency notification solutions through GTSI's U.S. Communities Contract.
“We originally joined U.S. Communities when we were doing some furniture purchasing,” said Kurt Gabbard, vice president for Business Affairs at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. “I got online and started looking at everything available and discovered I could purchase Omnilert's e2Campus here at a discount to the retail price.”
There is no cost to join U.S. Communities. e2Campus is simple to use with minimal amount of administrative time involved. Users like the Web-based interface and the mobile phone interface for creating and sending alerts.
In another major initiative recently, Omnilert announced its partnership with Infinity Pro sports, an international Web media firm that specializes in online sports solutions. The partnership will allow Infinity's technology platform to integrate into the company's Tier-1 unified mass notification system that enables a single person to communicate information to thousands of people anywhere, anytime, on any device or service.
