AnswerFirst to Volunteer Tampa May Classic 5K Run in support of the Child Abuse Council

AnswerFirst (News - Alert) Communications, a provider of international telephone answering service and customer service solutions, announced its volunteer participation for Tampa May Classic 5K Run in support of the Child Abuse Council.

The company announced that their Business Development Coordinator, Teri Erickson, will be volunteering the 5K run through south Tampa, on behalf of AnswerFirst.

The 8th Annual May Classic will be held on Saturday, May 7th at 7:30 a.m. The race begins and ends in Hyde Park Village and travels down Tampa’s beautiful Bayshore Blvd.

The Child Abuse Council has been helping children and strengthening families through prevention, education and treatment programs since 1977. To support of this important cause, St. John Greek Orthodox Day School, in conjunction with the City of Tampa, organizes the Tampa May Classic 5K every year.

Through this event, the Council hopes to bring businesses and organizations together in the spirit of friendly competition to raise much needed funds for the children of the Tampa Bay area.

“Volunteering for the Tampa May Classic 5K is a great way to meet other members of the local business community while supporting the children and families of our community through contributions to the Child Abuse Council,” Erickson said in a statement.According to AnswerFirst  officials, last year more than 1,000 people participated in this event making it the 3rd largest 5K in the Tampa Bay area. The event has seen tremendous participation from employees, family members, and their friends. They sign up for either the 5K or Family Fun Run under a Company Team name. The event also rewards the top three largest teams with unique awards.Earlier in March, AnswerFirst announced  that the company will be a corporate sponsor for the Suncoast Chapter Association of the United States Army. Through the sponsorship, AnswerFirst will be supporting United States Army troops and their families.
