TXU Energy's Abilene Call Center Receives Its First Expansion in Three Months

May 11, 2011

TXU Energy, the leading provider of electricity and related services to Texas’ 2 million customers, announced that its three month old Abilene call center has exceeded all of the company’s ramp-up expectations.

In a press release the company said that after delivering a three-month long outstanding experience, the call center is now being moved to a larger call center space within the facility. The move is aimed at accommodating a team of new staff and an array of new equipment.

In a bid to offer TXU Energy customers high quality customer services, Abilene call center was opened in January this year by TXU Energy and Teleperformance (News - Alert), the world’s leading provider of customer contact center services. Over past several years, the company has been making significant investments in customer service technology and infrastructure. Opening of the new call center is part of these initiatives.

In its short pan of existence, the call center has earned appreciation for highly skilled agent teams and their ability to effortlessly manage some of the most complex customer inquiries with high degree of professionalism.

“The Abilene Call Center has only been open three months and is exceeding all of our ramp-up expectations. The highly skilled agents at the center are able to manage some of the most complex customer inquiries with professionalism, integrity and a smile,” TXU VP Jeff Camp commented in a statement.

“We’re extremely pleased with the quality being delivered through our new center in Abilene and continue to look for ways to leverage that team to deliver on TXU Energy’s commitment to customer service,” Camp added.

Last month, TXU Energy announced the launch of a new energy savings solution called TXU Energy MyEnergy Dashboard. The new online tool helps examine how and when you use electricity at home so you can reduce your energy consumption and, ultimately, your monthly bill. It's available for free to all TXU Energy customers.
