Silverpop Inks Deal with Varicent Software for Varicent Business Edition

Varicent Software Incorporated, a provider of incentive compensation and sales performance management (SPM) solutions, revealed its Varicent Business Edition has been deployed by Silverpop (News - Alert), a provider of email marketing and marketing automation platform to go live to automate its compensation plan design and delivery.


"It is a testament to the innovation in Varicent’s solutions, combined with our commitment to customer service that the implementation process was so quick and seamless,” Marc Altshuller, executive vice president, Worldwide Field Operations, Varicent said in a press release.

"Mid-size companies recognize the importance of sales performance management and incentive compensation. We are proud to offer a solution that meets the needs of companies like Silverpop,” Altshuller added.

Varicent Business Edition is a solution which organizations can use to create and administer variable pay programs, automate commission calculations, and quickly distribute personalized payout results to their entire sales team. It is said to offer the flexibility and sophistication required by mid-size organizations.

Using Varicent’s Rapid Deployment Methodology, Varicent Business Edition can be implemented quickly and easily, said the company official. Silverpop and the Varicent team is said to have worked closely to quickly implement and deliver a solution for their new plan year.

Silverpop is said to have chosen Varicent Business Edition because of its: automation of compensation plan design/delivery and commission calculation process; ability to give Silverpop’s compensation team the flexibility to promote plan changes quickly; centralized reporting and ease of distribution to the field; direct integration and single sign-on with Salesforce.com (News - Alert); visibility into compensation plans, commission statements, disputes and inquiries; scalability and auditability.

"We surveyed several other solutions, but only Varicent was able to demonstrate the ease with which their solution could integrate with Saleforce.com, manage the data and easily create plans,” Kelli Kellar, vice president and controller for Silverpop said.

"Varicent allows us to leverage our Salesforce.com application and offers a single, centralized solution that will continue to address our sales performance management needs well into the future,” Kellar added.

Varicent recently announced that Mike Meisenheimer, a veteran expert in sales compensation and sales operations, has joined as Director of Industry Solutions and Bruce Jackson is taking over responsibility for Business Development.
