Contactology to Simplify E-Newsletter Creation, Distribution, Tracking for Users

August 05, 2011

Enabling the repurposing and publication of online content to email newsletters in minutes rather than hours, Contactology, a Software-as-a-Service email marketing and online survey technologies provider, has extended its publisher-focused solution to Vangardistas, the developer of Metro Publisher, a Software-as-a-Service Content Management System (CMS).

Allowing users to “set it and forget it,” Contactology’s Recurring Sender campaign is a pivotal benefit to Metro Publisher. Users can create an email campaign that can then be triggered on a recurring daily, weekly or monthly schedule. Contactology will send out the e-newsletter automatically, and can do so for an unlimited number of simultaneous campaigns, as it is automated to pull fresh content from the designated URL according to that schedule.

“Contactology provides the tools and expertise to quickly and easily manage your entire email marketing program,” said Drew Adams, CEO and co-founder, Contactology. “Vangardistas has integrated our solution with its Metro Publisher capabilities to quickly generate valuable content in a signature template, providing the most complete one-step solution available to media companies that want to repurpose web site content to expand revenue streams.”

Allowing for easy and seamless email list management and email reporting functionality into other applications to check statistics on opens, bounces and click-through rates, the integration between Contactology and Metro Publisher is due to Contactology’s Email Marketing API, a REST-based email delivery and tracking service. Users can carry on various activities such as synchronize user profile data with another system with the combination of the Contactology Email Marketing API with Metro Publisher’s functionality.

In February 2010, the company announced the first-of-its-kind integration with on-demand help desk and customer support provider, Zendesk. Thanks to this integration, first time users will be able to manage e-mail subscriptions directly from within Zendesk. “This integration between Zendesk and Contactology gives our customers another way to provide outstanding support,” said Mikkel Svane, CEO at Zendesk. The Contactology widget extends functionality of the Zendesk help desk application, streamlining the support process.
