Level 3 Communications Enhances Business Intelligence with Informatica Cloud

August 26, 2011

Informatica Corporation, an independent provider of data integration software, claimed that the Informatica Cloud is helping fiber-based communications services provider Level 3 to attain a complete view of its on-premise and cloud-based data – a move that will supposedly enhance the business intelligence of Level 3.

The Informatica Cloud delivers enterprise-class software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) integration applications and a powerful platform for developing and deploying custom integration services to non-technical users over the web. Companies can easily integrate cloud-based data with on-premise systems to ensure their users can access accurate, complete, up-to-date data whenever and wherever needed.

Level 3 will integrate its on-premise data with its salesforce.com CRM data using Informatica Cloud and doing so will be able to generate more complete, accurate and timely sales force management-related reports including important data from salesforce.com. With a business user interface designed to simplify complex tasks and the ability to easily automate and schedule data synchronization and replication tasks, Informatica Cloud Services will only help to get more from business application investments.

Informatica Cloud asserted that at present many organizations are dealing with dynamic hybrid IT environments with data that resides on-premise and in the cloud. A solution that integrates both on-premise and cloud data is essential. As demonstrated by Level 3's success, Informatica Cloud is a powerful, yet easy-to-use solution that enables companies to integrate data regardless of where it resides, providing them with a complete view of their data, which is critical for growth and competitive advantage.

Officials with Level 3 noted that Informatica Cloud provided a fast to deploy, low-maintenance approach for integrating cloud and on-premise data. The simplicity and ease of setup enables their IT team and business users to focus more on higher value data analysis and leave the implementation details to Informatica Cloud.

Some of the general benefits of Informatica Cloud are: rapid deployment; subscription pricing; minimal training; fewer IT resources; seamless upgrades; usage tracking; and more.
