Ameritas Ranked Fourth in BenchmarkPortal's Top 100 Contest
BenchmarkPortal (News - Alert), well known for its call center certification, hosts the largest call center performance metrics database in the world. It recognized Ameritas Group's contribution to the contact center industry and ranked it fourth in the BenchmarkPortal Top 100 contest.
“Ameritas Group's call center handles more than 1.4 million phone calls each year, and with each call, we have the opportunity to make a positive impact and enhance our customers' service experience,” said April Rimpley, vice president of group customer connections and operations in a press release. “We are very proud of this recognition, and our team.”
The Top 100 contest compared centers of similar size across all industries. Ameritas Group, a division of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., was declared fourth in the best smaller call centers category. This category refers to call centers that have fewer than 100 agents.
For the purpose of the contest, BenchmarkPortal compared call centers of the same size but from different industry sectors. Thousands of submissions within the BenchmarkPortal database and hundreds in the smaller contact center category were compared on the basis of objective, metrics-driven performance.
Bruce Belfiore, CEO, BenchmarkPortal considered the Ameritas contact center to be among the best in its industry and congratulated it on its accomplishment and for its ability to compete strongly against its competitors.
Ameritas Group, a UNIFI company, has served customers since 1959 and has administered benefits for more than 4.8 million people nationwide. Its customer service claims that the contact center earned BenchmarkPortal's prestigious Center of Excellence certification for 2010, the fourth year in a row.
In other news, Ameritas Group has made a $250,000 gift commitment to the University of Nebraska Foundation to establish a permanent endowment in support of the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry. The fund will provide annual support for research focused on preventing, detecting and treating oral cancer.
