Field Agent iPhone App Helps People Earn While They Shop

Field Agent Canada announced a new iPhone (News - Alert) app which will allow users to earn while they shop. Users are only required to leverage their expertise in certain situations.

This app is available free of charge via the Apple (News - Alert) App Store and serves to connect companies that require information on the performance of their products and services in the community with people who are ready to furnish information in real-time.

In a release Jeff Doucette, general manager of Field Agent Canada said, “Ultimately, this new iPhone app pays people while they shop. By having their iPhones handy, they can share information about what they see in stores and in the process earn extra money.”

Officials said that this app was launched officially on October 17^th, 2011. However the app is being used by about 120,000 consumers across the United States.

Here the company is referred to as a Client and is required to submit a request for information like a specific photo of a retail display, or information on sales prices through the Field Agent Web site. The request is then sent to iPhone users called Agents, who have installed the app.

These Agents have to respond to the request by collecting and sending the information directly into the iPhone App for which they receive cash payments ranging from $3 to $8. The pay depends on the degree of difficulty involved in carrying out the task and is credited to the agents via PayPal (News - Alert).

“More than ever, the idea of generating a second income is attractive to stay-at-home parents or individuals responsible for the domestic side of a household. This iPhone app is also simple and easy to use which is another advantage for people who are busy and on-the-go,” Doucette added.

Officials said that the Field Agent app leverages iPhone’s on-board coordinate tracking tools to ensure Agents are automatically matched to information requests in their communities. Those interested in becoming an Agent can download Field Agent via the Apple App Store.

Field Agent will put retail intelligence within the reach of the client company at a moment’s notice. Information that used to take weeks to retrieve will now take only days. The information is received while it is still relevant and actionable. Field Agent optimizes the way merchandising is used by businesses, concluded officials.
