Black Duck Launches Export 6.0

Black Duck Software (News - Alert), a leader in open source software knowledge, adoption and governance, recently released Export 6.0, an expansion to the Black Duck Suite enables the enterprise-scale use and management of open source software in software development.

Export 6.0 is comprised of Black Duck's code identification technology, Rapid ID, which ensures faster discovery of undetected encryption algorithms by enabling developers and export managers to "teach" code IDs to the suite. It also includes an enhanced Encryption Bill of Materials that improves tracking of a customer's export data. With Encryption BOM’s customer-defined fields for tracking custom data and audit trail capability, customers can easily track comments and other events, including identification, reset, declarations, exclusions and results.
