Microsoft Releases Case Study for First Tech Direct's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Implementation
First Tech Direct, a provider of Microsoft (News
- Alert) Dynamics business solutions, announced the release of a case study on its recent Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online implementation for Saab North America, a Scandinavian car manufacturer.
The case study, written by Microsoft, highlights the benefits that Saab North America was able to achieve through Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online implementation in just 30 days.
After divesting from General Motors (News - Alert) in 2010, Saab North America decided to build out its own IT infrastructure. The company also decided to launch a call center and a customer relationship management (CRM) solution to support its sales, marketing and service efforts.
According to officials at Saab North America, First Tech Direct helped them meet these requirements through Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementation. The company rolled out Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online within just 30 days, incrementally customizing the solution and providing training to its call center team.
“As part of our divestiture, we were switching to Microsoft Outlook from Lotus Notes. In addition, we relied heavily on Microsoft Office applications. Because Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online worked with and like those applications, we felt it would help us dramatically reduce training and meet our aggressive go-live date,” said Craig Whaley, CIO of Saab North America, in a statement.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online offered them an easy-to-implement, low-risk solution with features including the complex TREAD Act reporting. It helped the company manage the risks associated with building out a new IT infrastructure and implementing an on-premises solution.
Back in December, First Tech Direct announced Progressive Media Group's Bob Scott has selected First Tech Direct as a winner of its 2011 VAR Stars award. 2011 VAR Stars are a group of organizations honored for their accomplishment in mid-market financial software applications.
Earlier in October, First Tech Direct also announced the appointment of Tom Nall as Senior Account Executive for their Microsoft Dynamics AX practice to lead the First Tech Direct expansion efforts in the Southeast region of the United States.
