Shanghai-based transcosmos Marketing Service Company, which provides outbound and inbound call center services to clients in China and abroad, announced that it had attained ISO9001 and ISO/IEC27001 certifications. The company said it received the international information security management systems standard ISO/IEC27001 on November 9, 2011. It was certified for quality management systems standard “ISO9001” on October 28, 2009. The certification recognizes the company’s efforts at developing an advanced information security infrastructure and also enhances its credibility as a provider of high quality services. transcosmos is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based transcosmos Inc.
According to an article on the Daily Iowegian, Midwest TeleServices International (MTI (News - Alert)) specializes in operating outbound call centers in small towns across the United States. The company has developed a list of Fortune 500 clients but started with business from telephone companies including Windstream (News - Alert) and CenturyLink. As MTI’s business grew, it branched out to other industries, including education, insurance and pharmaceuticals. The article noted that MTI prefers to base its call centers in small Midwestern towns, like Moulton, Iowa, as opposed to larger cities. “There are people who have college education who are tied to the area through agriculture,” Kathy Hett, the CEO of MTI, told the Daily Iowegain. “This gives them the opportunity to utilize their education and gives them a job in their rural community.” MTI was founded in 1990by Hett and her husband, Steven Hett, along with Marvin Thom, and originally offered inbound calling but transitioned to outbound calls when the inbound call market proved too tough, the article noted. MTI currently employs about 400 employees at its eleven call centers. The company now has locations in North Dakota, Iowa and Canada, mostly based in rural areas.
Sound Telecom will celebrate its 25th year in business on April 1, 2012. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Sound Telecom is a nationwide provider of 24 hour Telephone Answering, Call Center and Unified Communication Services. The company offers customers a variety of call center services, including outbound calling campaigns tied to marketing and customer outreach strategies. The company also noted that it will expand its call center operations by opening new call centers across the United States over the next few years.
