Allegiance Appoints Carine Clark as President and CEO

Industry veteran Carine Clark recently joined Allegiance (News - Alert), a provider of VOCi technology and services, as the new president and CEO, effective January 2, 2013.

Clark holds 25 years of experience in building successful software companies, and has an extensive background in developing marketing, operations and product strategies that enhance corporate reputation, increase shareholder value and accelerate growth.

Prior to joining Allegiance, she worked as SVP and CMO for Symantec (News - Alert).

In her new role, Clark will be responsible for focusing on improving operations, advancing marketing and sales strategies and building pivotal industry relationships.

Adam Edmunds, Allegiance’s founder and current CEO, will remain an active member of the board of directors, and will lead the company’s expanding partner and business development initiatives.

In a statement, John W. Thompson, former chairman and CEO at Symantec Corp. and member of the Microsoft (News - Alert) board of directors, stated, “Carine is a powerful marketer and will make a strong CEO. She can identify great potential in people, products, and markets before others, and she knows how to create a winning strategy that others will follow.”

Clark received a master’s degree in business administration as well as a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Brigham Young University.

Allegiance can become a game changer and drive the trend toward customer empowerment with technology that helps companies achieve greater customer experience insight,” said Clark. “I see a massive new market with tremendous upside for Allegiance, and I look forward to building a business that will dominate this new space.”
