The Blue Book Network Intros CRM for Construction Industry

December 02, 2013

The Blue Book Network recently launched Project Pipeline, saying that it is a Web-based system designed to benefit contractors, suppliers and manufacturers.

The company has published information on the construction industry, helping companies and contractors to share information about people, products and projects.

The Blue Book Network is touting Project Pipeline as the first customer relationship management system (CRM) that meets the specific needs of the construction industry. With this latest offering, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers can easily manage their project opportunities, according to company officials.

The Project Pipeline is built on Sugar Platform. Company officials said that it is licensed by Sugar CRM.  The capabilities of Sugar platform enable administrators to define teams, control access rights to modules and fields, change the homepage layout or modify existing screens, with the layout editor. Moreover, they can also create new dashlets from third-party data sources.

“Recognizing the need for a sales automation system that caters to the unique requirements of our industry, we chose SugarCRM (News - Alert), and developed this targeted solution off of their innovative platform, said Rich Johnson, president at The Blue Book Network.

The Project Pipeline is equipped with details on prospective companies and it updates, as well. Company officials said that users can maintain details on the projects they intend to bid on or are bidding on. Moreover, these details are easily accessible.

Company officials said that they developed this newest system to enable automation and streamlining of all the crucial phases of a sales process, including lead, opportunity, proposal and contact management.

“Combining the extensive market expertise of The Blue Book Network with the flexibility of Sugar has resulted in the creation of powerful sales automation tools that address the unique requirements of the construction industry,” said Clint Oram, co-founder and CTO at SugarCRM.

Earlier this year in June, The Blue Book Building and Construction Network purchased the assets of Jobsite123.com, including the Jobsite123.com website and prequalification system, which have been integrated into thebluebook.com network and all related Internet based software services.
