Tryg, a general insurance company in the Nordic region, employing around 4000 people and with activities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, has recently picked Telenor (News - Alert) as its supplier for a new contact center solution and telephony platform. Telenor Norway’s subsidiary Datametrix is in charge of the implementation and operation.
Tryg officials said that they decided to replace their current contact center along with the previous telephony solution to handle the company’s growing number of calls and customers.
“The new telephony solution from Telenor will reduce Tryg’s costs and other challenges. The solution accommodates all modern forms of communications so that we can provide our customers a modern customer experience,” says Niels Vorum-Petersen, Director for Shared Systems at Tryg.
The contact center solution and telephony platform, which is based on Cisco (News - Alert)'s hardware and software, will now be used by Tryg's operations in Denmark and Norway. The new contract which Telenor has won is worth around NOK 80 million spread across a period of five years.
