8x8 to Provide Cloud Communications Solution to KC Integrated Services

March 28, 2014

8x8 (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of cloud-based unified communications, contact center, and collaboration solutions, recently announced that its cloud communications solutions have been selected by KC Integrated Services, a full-service transportation and supply chain solutions provider for North America. The solutions are deployed in 14 sites across seven geographic locations.

8x8's cloud-based software platform provides a comprehensive unified communications and collaboration suite of services that, in addition to replacing traditional solutions with more cost effective, flexible alternatives, address critical challenges faced by many businesses today such as managing globally distributed workforces and mobile devices, maintaining business continuity, and integrating with enterprise applications and IT systems.

KC Integrated Services are greatly benefited from features such as internal chat, which have helped the company enhance worker productivity. They can also make and take business calls anywhere with 8x8 mobile app. The “find me, follow me” feature enabled the users to set up their own personal call-routing rules. Also, the Outlook plug-in makes scheduling and managing meetings much easier for users.

“Environmental factors definitely played a role in our decision to deploy an 8x8 cloud solution,” said Bob Bergstrom, director of information services at KC Integrated Services. “Michigan has brutal winters and severe thunderstorms that made our previous system vulnerable to outages. With 8x8, we can protect the business but still communicate easily across all locations.”

In related news, 8x8 Solutions recently signed a contract with George Best Belfast City Airport for the deployment of business VoIP and unified cloud communication solutions. The cloud-based communication system deployed by 8x8 features futuristic design with capabilities to meet the current volumes as well as scope for massive scalability in the future. Belfast City Airport is one of the first airports in the world to embrace cloud-based services for communications infrastructure. The newly deployed solution allows for high accuracy in measuring, analyzing and rating the telephone-based service aspects at the Airport.
