ClairMail Solution Experiences 700 Percent Increase in Monthly Mobile Banking Transactions
July 31, 2009
The core product of ClairMail, Inc., the ClairMail Solution, has reportedly experienced more than 700 percent year-over-year increase in monthly mobile banking transactions.
ClairMail provides proactive mobile solutions for banking, payment and card services, thereby facilitating cross-sell and enabling near term and measurable cost savings.
Joe Salesky, chairman and chief strategy officer of ClairMail, said the increase in monthly mobile banking transactions proves the strong demand for ClairMail’s proactive mobile banking solution with easy-to-use alerts, industry leading mobile web and mobile client capabilities. When customers enhance their current mobile services and move to the latest version of ClairMail, the demand will increase even more, he said.
Salesky also said that the company is expecting consumer usage to increase dramatically as it introduces new functionality in the future.
Recent published reports indicate that the success of ClairMail is greater than the mobile banking industry, which itself experienced a six-fold usage increase in 2008. The ClairMail Solution processes a large number of transactions per month for ClairMail customers across retail banks, credit unions and card service companies. During the past year, the company has witnessed accelerating growth.
According to Pete Daffern, CEO of ClairMail, customers are experiencing mobile banking adoption rates that are significantly higher than the market average. Currently, many financial institutions are focused on simply implementing a mobile banking solution to provide a new route to online banking.
Meanwhile, ClairMail's customers see mobile as a proactive channel to engage consumers whether or not they bank online. The use of proactive alerts and device-optimized mobile Web capabilities are key drivers to adoption.
The ClairMail Solution is capable of delivering two-way mobile banking and payments functionality on all mobile phones. The solution uses software that is already built into mobile phones.
In addition, the open platform is designed to work with third-party client applications. The ClairMail Solution seamlessly and securely integrates with a financial institution’s systems and will work on almost any mobile phone. The 2008 research from financial services research and consulting firm Javelin Strategy & Research suggests that an opportunity to drive adoption of mobile banking exists even with consumers who are not currently part of online banking.
