ProVisions' Long Beach Call Center Up for Sale or Lease

October 06, 2009
ProVisions’ Long Beach call center is currently being offered for sale or lease.

The 19,044 sq. ft. “plug and play” call center and office complex is strategically located on the Gulf Coast. With the unemployment in the state hitting peak levels of 10.5 percent, currently, the center represents a significant opportunity for improving the job market in the area.

According to data available at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for customer service personnel will increase by 21 percent in the period between 2006 and 2016 – and the employment of customer care personnel will increase at a faster rate in call centers more than other segments.

ProVision says the advanced capabilities of this center will bring high levels of quality, technology and efficiency. Many companies have call centers in Mississippi and have correspondingly derived advantages from recent government steps that foster a positive growth climate. Organizations like BellSouth, SkyTel, Waste Management and Comcast (News - Alert) have made use of economically viable legislation like the Mississippi Broadband Technology Development Act and the Mississippi Advantage Jobs Incentive Program.

Not-for-profit enterprises also affirm the Gulf Coast’s reputation as an ideal site for call centers. The self proclaimed “leading voice for the call center industry,” the National Association of Call Centers, operates out of Hattiesburg, Miss. The American Teleservices Association is currently conducting a New Orleans, Louisiana-based convention titled “Answering the Call,” Oct. 4-7. The event includes interesting programs and speeches by reputed call center professionals.

The Long Beach call center includes four acres of land and can serve both single tenant and multi tenant users. It integrates more than 150 phone lines, additional power back up with auto-transfer facility, heating, ventilating and air conditioning suited for high density occupation and a huge parking lot capable of parking more than 200 cars at a ratio of 11 parking spaces of 1000 square feet of built up area.

Because of these unique functionalities, the Long Beach call center can function 24 hours a day. It is strategically located at 21120 Johnson Road within the Long Beach Industrial Park allowing users to leverage the well developed transportation system of the area. Formerly a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) site, the United States Homeland Security Department Agency leased the building between September and December 2008.
