ORTS' OnDemand Solution with Pack&Go Option

October 12, 2010

OTRS, the leading open-source service innovation suite, launched OTRS (News - Alert) OnDemand, an easily deployed help desk solution with a Pack&Go option. Instrumental in providing help desk and ITIL V3-certified IT service management solutions, OTRS has developed this solution to help businesses retain the versatility and configurability of the standalone OTRS platform, which is used in a wide range of business scenarios, but is quick to set up and run as an SaaS (News - Alert) solution in the cloud.

The wide portfolio of OTRS OnDemand comprises seven prebuilt business scenarios, from "School District IT" to "Facilities Management," with ten additional scenarios, which will released in the end of 2010. OTRS OnDemand can easily adapt to any business scenario because of more than 1,000 configuration options, making it a hot favorite among 80,000 organizations worldwide. Offered as a freely downloadable open source solution, OTRS is available for a 30-day free trial. After the 30-day trial, it will cost $30 per month for a single agent, with scaled pricing for multiple agents. OTRS OnDemand is also available with the new Pack&Go option, allowing full data and application export at any time.

"OTRS is a robust, flexible application which has been downloaded and deployed by tens of thousands of organizations worldwide for a wide range of business uses," said Paul Salazar, general manager of OTRS, in a statement. "OTRS OnDemand reaches out to organizations that want an easy to use, cloud-based help desk solution that is powerful and highly configurable. And with our new Pack&Go option, we have ensured our customers' freedom by removing any concern about vendor lock-in."

"Since its inception, OTRS has been committed to free access to our software by any organization worldwide," said André Mindermann, co-founder and CEO of OTRS, in a statement. "Downloads of OTRS have steadily grown over the past 10 years, and now with OTRS OnDemand, the non-technical user can reap the benefits of the OTRS help desk."
