New Low-Cost SaaS-Based E-Procurement Solution

October 14, 2010

Budget conscious businesses or small-to-medium sized businesses, which want to transit antiquated, paper-based procurement methods to low-cost, efficient e-procurement systems, can now leverage the new SaaS (News - Alert)-based e-procurement solution, ABN Xpress Suite Fall '10 from Active Business Network.

Designed for small-to-medium sized enterprises, the new Xpress Suite Fall '10 SaaS-based solution is a first of its kind full Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) implementation that not only minimizes initial implementation issues, but also lowers barrier to entry. It completely digitizes invoices and purchase orders as well.

For those unaware, EDI is the structured transmission of data between organizations by electronic means. Earlier, only large companies could afford the massive investment required to utilize EDI, which is the foundation for advanced e-procurement technologies. In addition, only large companies could afford automating many of their day-to-day business tasks and processes.

To address this, ABN released Xpress Suite for small-to-medium sized businesses. The suite provides full EDI compatibility for companies with existing ERP systems and also allows for submitting invoices and purchase orders without email or OCR.

Apart from supporting for any vendor via easy-to-use online invoice system, the new ABN Xpress Suite also features a dashboard and reporting capability that provides real-time visibility into health of supply chain.

Officials with ABN said that even larger businesses can benefit from the ABN Xpress Suite. Large businesses can use this suite to bridge to their small-to-medium sized business partners. This will help in expanding as well as solidifying their critical business relationships.
