Convergys Offering Seasonal Home Agent Positions

To the delight of those looking for some extra cash this upcoming holiday season, the global relationship management leader, Convergys, launched a manhunt across the country. Convergys (News - Alert) announced that it is on the lookout for candidates from around the country to fill seasonal Home Agent positions.

If you are looking for a way to make some immediate holiday cash without leaving home then you must straight visit to the company’s career page. In addition, you can pin your hope on getting a permanent employment in the near future too.

The company informed that new employees will serve as gift advisors for Harry & David, a premier direct marketing and e-commerce company. The selected candidates will have to work from home through mid-December 2010. These jobs have the potential to become permanent positions in 2011.

“Convergys has an immediate need for home agents from around the country. We're looking for sales-oriented individuals to provide customer service support from their homes and help Harry & David customers select the perfect gift for those on their holiday shopping list,” said Anne Tyler, senior manager of recruiting for Convergys' Home Agent program, in a press release.

Prior to starting their work selected home agents will be given five days of training. In addition of competitive wages, the home agents will be offered discounts on gift merchandise. The candidates have the options of choosing between day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Requirements for work-at-home candidates include a quiet place to work inside the home and a high-speed Internet connection. The ideal employment candidate should possess customer service and/or sales experience, computer and keyboarding skills, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Last month TMCnet reported that Convergys was chosen to drive a BSS transformation project with business and technology services provider Logica (News - Alert). Under the agreement, Convergys was required to upgrade Logica’s BSS platform with its Rating and Billing Manager Smart App, part of Convergys’ Smart BSS Solutions portfolio. Convergys officials said the company will complete the transformation in the first quarter of 2011.
