NaviSite Positioned in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure, Web Hosting
NaviSite, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class hosting, managed application, managed messaging and managed cloud services, has been positioned as a challenger in Gartner’s “2010 Cloud Infrastructure as a Service and Web Hosting Magic Quadrant” report.

- Alert) secured a coveted position in the Challenger quadrant based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute.
In a press release, NaviSite's president and CEO, R. After launching its Cloud Managed Services in June 2010, NaviSite added 22 new enterprise cloud computing customers, and announced one of the first customers to migrate mission critical applications to the cloud. The company also announced Apple (News
- Alert) iPad support, as well as Role-Based Access Control, Airlock, and Dynamic Resource Instrumentation for improved cloud management, flexibility, security and control. NaviSite also recently launched NaviSite TestDev Cloud, a cloud-based Development and Testing Solution.
Recently, NaviSite was in news when it announced the sale of its Dallas, Texas collocation business to Cologix Dallas, Inc., a subsidiary of Cologix, Inc., for $12.75 million in cash. All NaviSite Dallas colocation customers will be transferred to Cologix as part of the transaction. Cologix will also assume NaviSite's lease of the Dallas data center where the services are hosted, managed, and supported. The transaction is effective immediately. Net proceeds from the sale will be used to repay debt. NaviSite will remain a customer and bandwidth service provider in the Cologix facility in Dallas.
