St. Bernard Software Re-branded with Expanded Portfolio

St. Bernard Software, Inc., a provider of secure content management solutions, entered a new phase of expansion that changed the name of the company to something more befitting and more representative of its expanded portfolio.


Re-launched as EdgeWave, the company's new portfolio of secure content management solutions and services now included Web and e-mail security, data protection, e-reputation and e-mail all delivered through a choice of on-premise, on-demand or custom hybrid deployments.

St. Bernard Software Inc.'s aggressive transformation strategy that included the recent acquisition of all the assets of Red Condor, the hiring of five seasoned executives, streamlining operation into a new worldwide headquarters facility, a re-tooling of the company's back office operation, the formulation of a powerful new technology portfolio, and the expansion into new markets with new products, culminated in a re-branding of the company itself as EdgeWave.

In short, EdgeWave strives to deliver simple, high performance solutions that offer excellent value.

In a press release, Lou Ryan, CEO and chairman of the company spoke about the dramatic evolution of the company over the last year and said that the change in nomenclature depicted the company's broader mission that built on its strong Web and e-mail security foundation.

Ryan also spoke about how steps had been taken to produce greater customer satisfaction and increase business growth and shareholder value over the long term by enhancing the senior leadership team, increasing the company's talent pool, upgrading existing products, expanding its technology portfolio, overhauling the go-to-market scheme and achieving cost efficiencies. Scott Griffin, sales executive, Trebron Company Inc., a long-time partner, commented on EdgeWave's new portfolio and said that its new security content management solutions would be a valuable addition to Trebron's Web, e-mail and data security offerings and added that the combination of the company's award winning technology and price performance was a perfect fit with Trebron's mid-enterprise customers. On Dec. 1, 2010, St. Bernard Software, Inc., announced the availability of its newest Web filter appliance designed to address the challenges of bandwidth growth by enabling administrators to better manage Internet traffic without compromising performance.
